Writer Argues Gay Parents May Be the Best Parents

One writer argues that gay parents may be able to offer more to children than one father and one mother  can. Gay marriage and adoption have made the headlines again this week when candidates vying for the Republican presidential nominee have discussed the subjects on the campaign trail.  The writer’s biggest argument is that gay couples are better parents because they’re ready to be parents, unlike 50% of heterosexual couples who unexpectedly get pregnant.  I argue that it may be unexpected, but most people are wired to want to have children.  I also think you can never underestimate the power of the yin and yang of the feminine and masculine- what special qualities both mothers and fathers can offer their children. Read the full story
