Students at UC Berkeley Hold “Racist” Bake Sale

The Student Republicans at the University of California at Berkeley held a metaphorical bake sale last week to show their opposition to pending legislation that would allow state universities to consider race, gender, ethnicity and national origin as factors in admission.  At their “Increase Diversity Bake Sale” prices varied according to race, with white men paying the most for a single baked good and so on. The sale sparked outrage on the campus and across the nation.
