CLOSED Giveaway: One Dozen Gourmet Christmas Cookies

Winner announced on Facebook. In October I shared my love for Carrie’s Cookies and Confections when we had our Halloween cookie giveaway.  It was such a success Carrie is back, wanting to share her Christmas cookies with you this time.

For those of you who didn’t hear the story then, I was at a bridal shower a few years ago when I first saw and tasted delicious, soft sugar cookies from Carrie’s Cookies and Confections.  The wedding theme was sunflowers, so the hostess arranged for Carrie to create  a beautiful, sunflower cookie wrapped in its own individual bag for every guest.

And then, I attended another shower not too long after, a baby shower, where once again I had the pleasure of walking away with another of Carrie’s creations, this time a pink carriage cookie.

With Christmas approaching I am so excited that Carrie’s Cookies and Confections will provide more of her delicious cookies to one lucky winner!

Here are the details:

One winner will have a dozen of Carrie’s Cookies (vintage Christmas design) shipped directly to his or her home. Each cookie will come in its own bag tied with a coordinating ribbon.

Carrie says they are perfect party favors or gifts for your friends and neighbors. They’d also make a beautiful addition to your own Christmas table place settings.

Here’s how the contest works:

For 1 chance to win: Leave a comment after this post answering, “What was your favorite Christmas memory or tradition as a child?”

If you have completed any of the additional entries, remind me when you comment.

The contest will close at 8pm Pacific Time on Sunday, December 11th.   The cookies will be shipped anywhere in the United States.  No more than 1 comment to the question per visitor.  Winner will be randomly selected and posted on Facebook soon after.

To see the broad range of custom, hand decorated cookies Carrie offers and for a full listing of ingredients, check out the Carrie’s Cookies and Confections website here.

  1. One of my favorite memories as a little girl is the pre Christmas hunt for hidden gifts. My mom was very good about keeping them from me. Althought I knew santa was a myth- it made Christmas just as exciting!

PS I also like Carrie’s Cookies

  16. My favorite memory as a child was the time my mom woke us up in the middle of the night (I’m thinking now it must have been around 11pm) to open our gifts because SHE couldn’t wait until Christmas.

On another note – I’ve ordered Carrie’s cookies several times and they are always the most popular treat at the dessert table. Carrie makes FABULOUS cookies and I highly recommend her yummy goodies to anyone, for any occasion. Plus she’s just generally an awesome lady!

  20. Renee Taylor says:

Similar to Kendra’s post – I began a Christmas tradition with my sons after receiving a Aebleskivers pan as a Christmas gift one year. Along with “Christmas eggs” (scrambled eggs, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, red bell pepper and green onion oven-baked), we enjoyed Aebleskivers and sparkling cider every Christmas morining for years. Now, the boys are grown but we’ll have enjoy a Christmas Eve breakfast this year since the 24th falls on a Saturday!

On Christmas morning I opened that present and it was a flea collar. My parents then took me upstairs and gave me a brand new kitty that we named Morris. The best gift EVER! The suspense about killed me, but he was worth the wait!

  41. The year I received a cabbage patch doll! It was the height of cabbage patch mania and we were a blue collar family getting by so I had no hopes of getting one. Imagine my surprise Christmas morning, hiding in my brother’s GI Joe tent, my very own cabbage patch!

  42. I loved our parents piling everyone up in the station wagon and driving us around to see the lights.

  46. My grandfather used to hide folded up dollar bills inside pecans that he had carefully pried apart and emptied. He would glue the nuts back together, then give each grandchild a wrapped box full of nuts. We would have to crack them all to find the ones with money inside–usually about $5 per child, which was a huge amount in the 70s. It was as much fun to crack and eat the nuts with our cousins as it was to get the money.

My favorite Christmas memory is the year we moved to San Ramon, three days before Christmas! My parents sent us to stay with my Great Aunt for a night so my parents could unpack the house. While we were there we made all the Christmas ornaments for our tree, since we wouldn’t be able to get to them in boxes! After twenty four years, we still have the aluminum foil star that my brother made for the tree topper!
