College Football Player Dies from Brain Injury

A senior fullback from Frostburg State University in Maryland died over the weekend from severe head trauma after participating in a routine practice. This has cast light once again on head injuries in sports, though “teenagers are even more susceptible to having multiple hits to the head result in brain bleeds and massive swelling, a condition known as second impact syndrome, in large part because the brain tissue has not yet fully developed.”  What are your thoughts on full contact sports? Read the full story here
