100 Greatest Kids’ Books

The list, compiled by Scholastic Parent and Child Magazine, has Charlotte’s Web in the top spot, but the 1947 classic Goodnight Moon comes in a close second.  Why is Harry Potter only #6?  Judges say since the series is only 15 years old, it still needs to stand the test of time.  View the entire list  What do you think? 1. Great List! My younger ones just love The Dog who had Kittens, by Polly Robertus. It’s such a lovely story about loving and caring. My 5th grade son and I are just finishing Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper. This has created such thought provocating questions and empathy. For moms, there are some tears, a must read for every child.
